Ever since I hit golf balls into an inflatable gator at a car show in 2017 when I was 11 years oldand won free golf lessons with a pro, I've been hooked on the sport of golf. After the car show, I went to Top Golf and even with being on the top deck, the ball just didn't go as far or where I wanted it to go. That’s when I knew I wanted to learn more about the sport.
Since then, I have enjoyed playing in Junior League at my local golf course, playing at charity events alongside my dad's coworkers and competing at local, regional, national and international tournaments in CO, AZ, NC and CA. It's the thrill of beating the course that makes me go out in all weather conditions to practice or compete – whether rain, snow, hail, wind or heat, I’m hitting balls.
As an incoming freshman at Riverdale Ridge High School in Colorado, I look forward to playing with and contributing to my high school team. Being a team player and beating my personal best every time out is a short goal. My long-term goal is to keep up my already good grades through high school and be considered for a spot on a collegiate golf team. I have collegiate expectations and career ideas, but the sky’s the limit. I hope that my passion of golf will take me places I’ve only dreamed of.
