Peyton Maraman '23 Recruiting Profile

At the age of 11, I watched my brother and dad hitting golf balls in the backyard and my interest in golf was born. My brother, now a golf professional, strongly influenced me and instilled a passion for competition. That passion led to a commitment to the sport and I have grown and matured as a person and as an athlete. I've learned the value of patience, perseverance, and a consistent work ethic in order to prepare for success. I've also learned compassion and understanding as I've supported and encouraged my teammates. Together, we've learned to overcome setbacks and failures and to never, ever quit!

As captain of the Niceville High School Eagles, our team was 2nd in the state of Florida in 2020 and 2021. I was all county in Okaloosa County, Florida in 2021 with a personal best score of 69. I was the 6th best player in the state of Florida in 2021. I am looking for an opportunity to pursue excellence in both academics and in the sport of golf in a welcoming community committed to those ideals. I want to contribute to the success of a team as well as create opportunities for myself in the sport. My athletic and academic talent and ability will result in the contribution and my character and tenacity as a player will serve as an inspiration to my teammates and coaches.
