Personal Statement
My goal in college is to be able to play golf, whether it be a scholarship or even just for fun. Golf has taught me how to be patient, respect others, and learn you have good and bad days.
I think I would make a good candidate for anyone's team because I work hard, I never give up, and I am willing to help other teammates. I have also played volleyball and basketball. Playing basketball and volleyball helped me learn how to be patient when it comes to people. It also taught me that everyone learns at a different pace. You can never rush someone, and maybe they learn a different way.
Living in a small town has taught me how to help teammates and to respect others. As a freshman I had to go to another school to play golf. After that year the other school wouldn't let me play with them. My sophomore I had a team at my school that was all beginner golfers. It was all their first time playing golf. My coach wasn't a really good coach, he was there because we needed a head coach. I spent the year teaching beginners how to golf. My teammates went from shooting a 140 to a 100 at the end of the year. You have to have respect for your teammates and coaches. The teammates job is to push you as hard as they can to make you a better athlete. A coaches job is to teach you the best they can.
I may be the person most coaches look over, but if you give me a chance I never give up, and I will do anything to show you that I am not a mistake.
