Personal Statement

Sports are an important part of my life.  From a young age, I have enjoyed competition, participating in golf, softball, running, and basketball.  In high school, I have earned my varsity letter in golf, basketball, and cross country. When competing, I commit to practicing and playing with precision, approaching each situation with spirit and energy.   Acting with courage to be accountable, I have gained the respect of my teammates and have enhanced my team’s ability to perform at our highest level.

Golf has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have competed with the Idaho Junior Golf association for the past eight years.  During those years, I earned six district championships and qualified for the state championship tournament each year. Perhaps my biggest accomplishment to date was being named the most valuable golfer on my High School Varsity team as a freshman.

My dedication extends beyond my golf game, to my schooling and other sports and activities.  Maintaining a 4.0 GPA is very important to me. Applying myself to school and participating in clubs such as debate, key club, Magic Valley Arts Council, National Honors Society, and Business Professional of America, allow me to excel in a variety of ways.  I do whatever is necessary to be the best version of myself.

Taking deliberate steps, I have been able to excel in the classroom and on the course by striving to be a good teammate and leader. I am willing to endure temporary inconvenience for permanent improvement.  Golf is a sport I am very passionate about, and I would love the opportunity to continue to develop my golf and academic career into college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
