Coming from a golfing family, I've always had an interest in the sport; but my true aspiration to take my golfing career to the next level came from my brother Tyler Krager, who became a PGA Professional. The summer before my Sophomore year, I began private lessons from George Knight, a local team's instructor. After spending the summer with him in lessons, and countless hours at my home course applying his techniques, I found my game improving dramatically: nearly a 30 stroke difference in my 18-hole rounds. The advancement of my abilities was haltered from a wrist injury around the middle of my Sophomore year, that lasted through parts of my Junior year as well. I've hoped to have gained enough strength to accomplish the goals I've set for myself this year, and be able to continue this growth at a college level.
Although currently ranked 4th in my Junior class, I have a significant possibility of ranking top of my class by the end of my senior year. Morrisonville High School does not offer any Honors or AP courses, but by the time of my graduation I will have taken all weighted courses that are offered. I often find myself taking leadership positions in my extra curricular activities, and am a personable and dedicated person to work with. In my school, I'm an active member of National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Drama Club, Choir, Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.), while also participating in golf and cheerleading. Outside of school, I volunteer at the local course's summer Jr. Golf League, and am a part of my Tri-Parish youth group and youth mass.
Thank you for your consideration of my application. I hope that we may be in contact soon!
