I have been playing golf since I was 8 years old. My mental toughness on and off the course has led me to many leadership opportunities. On the course, the most effective part of my game is distance off the tee and my short game; wedges around the green and putting. I have been named Scott County High school player of the year as both a 7th and an 8th grader. The biggest traits that I pride myself on is that I am very coachable, I stay after most practices on and off season to work on improving as a player, I encourage my teammates, as they look to me for advice, my course management is impeccable, especially at 13 years old, and my drive is unparalled.
I not only show leadership in golf, I am also the captain of the track team, and cheer captain. I encourage, motivate and lead on and off the field. In school, I have been asked to become a teacher assistant for both social studies and music class. I am an active beta club member and enjoy many philanthropic opportunities in my spare time. My positivity, grit, perserverance and powerful mindset has kept me on the top of my golf game, in academics and in leadership. Not only am I an asset as an athlete and scholar, I continuously find ways to improve my game by reading, reviewing new strategies for improvement, and practicing.
I envision to continue to make a huge impact in golf, academics and leadership. I will bring both a strong mental game, grit and positivity as an athlete to my future golf program as well as become an effective leader in the community. I am optimistic about my future and cannot wait to share my exceptional abilities.
