Personal Statement
My name is Cheyenne and I am on the varsity golf team at Noble High School in North Berwick, Maine. My goal and aspirations for college are to receive a quality education in either sports management or athletic training. I love all sports and plan on working in the future to help others with the same dreams and passion I have for athletics. My aspiration for playing collegiate golf is to grow as a golfer and one day my dream would be to be on the LPGA.
What makes me a good candidate that is different from all the others is I have a passion for the game of golf. Living in the state of Maine I am unable to play year-round so I have to be creative on how to keep my game up to par (no pun intended). I also work with a coach once a week on his indoor golf simulator during the winter months. I keep up with my fitness and health by eating well and going to the gym. Throughout the summer and fall, I play golf almost daily while also working at the golf course which has given me more knowledge in the sport. I'm dedicated and reliable.
What makes me different from other recruits is that I don't come from a family of golfers so I continue to work really hard in making my own connections, paving my own paths, and knowing what I need to help me succeed in golf. My family is 100% supportive but it's typically me leading us in the direction to pursue a lifelong future in golf.
With my academics, I have made the honor roll all throughout high school and have also taken two college classes at the beginning of my junior year. As a person in school and out of school, I am organized and I do well with time management. As a student, athlete, and in everyday life I am devoted, loyal, humble, hard-working, driven, and surround myself with amazing people.
