My name is Allison Matthews, I am a Senior at Duxbury High School in Duxbury, MA. I am Co-Captain of the Varsity Golf Team.
I have been on Varsity for three seasons, compiling a 30-2 match play record. We have been Patriot league champions all 3 seasons. In 2017, I was an alternate as we qualified and competed in Massachusetts State Tournament. In 2018, we were Patriot League Champions and again went to the State Championship, where we place 4th.
I was named Patriot League honorable mention.
I love golf, I love to compete and I love the process of improving my game. I have played High School Soccer and Field Hockey which I have also enjoyed, but Golf gives you a chance to meet your competitors you, get to know them in a way you don’t in other sports Consistently pushing yourself individually while being part of team is unique in team golf. If have a good or bad day, hole or shot I can’t wait to stand over the ball and go at it again.
Off the Golf Course, I’m a midfielder on the Varsity Field Hockey team and I’m a member of the American Sign Language honor Society. This past Summer, I applied and competed to become a member of the Summer Health Corps Volunteer Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Last Summer I volunteered in the Appalachian Service Project in West Virginia, repairing homes in an impoverished rural area. I have worked in local restaurant doing salad and dessert prep. I am a member of Duxbury Yacht Club.
I would like to study a Health Care related field in College.
