Harper Capilli '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches, My name is Harper Capilli. I am very passionate about the game of golf and have a strong desire to play at the college level. I have been playing golf since I was little and have grown to love it. I started playing when I was 5 years old thanks to my grandfather. He would always play golf so I wanted to follow in his footsteps.  I went up to him when I was around 4 and asked if I can play with him and he said if I still want to play when I was 5 he would buy me a set of clubs and sign me up for lessons. My grandfather is part of the reason I am where I am today as he not only made the game fun but he helped to fuel my passion. I play for the Duxbury Girls Varsity golf team and I was nominated to be a captain next season as a rising junior. I was a starter as a freshman on the varsity team and played in the #4 spot. As a sophomore, I advanced to the #3 spot and I have earned the #1 spot on the team my junior year this upcoming season.  I have had the honor of playing in two State Championship Tournaments both my Freshman and Sophmore year and look forward to leading my team in another State Tournament my Junior year where we will look to bring home the title.

I look forward to leading my team and working to develop the underclassman. In the summer I teach at the Harmon Golf Club at a golf camp they hold and work with younger kids on the basics of the golf game and, more importantly, how to have fun with it.  This Fall I will be joining our Boys Golf Varsity team as the Manager where I will be keeping track of their stats among other things. This will also give me the opportunity to play with them daily further strengthening my game. In the winter I continue to work on my game at The Harmon Golf Club in their outdoor heated bays.  In the Fall & winter I play AAU Basketball for the Mass Huskies as well as for my High School team. I enjoy the competition and it helps me to stay in shape in the off-season.  I am looking for a school where I can further both my athletic and academic careers.
