Christine Mandile...Personal Statement
My name is Christine Mandile and I will be a 3-year captain of my High School's coed golf team. I like to lead by example and I am living proof that hard work and dedication pays off both on the course and in the classroom. I started competitive golf 3 years ago and since then I have practiced every day and I am determined to become the best golfer I can be. Along with practicing, what I enjoy most is helping with golf clinics for kids at my home course. What separates me from other golfers is my ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain my composure on the course. I have learned a lot about myself through playing in tournaments and I have found that I am very mentally tough. This is proven in my ability to have a not so good round the first day of a tournament but then come back stronger the next day. I am looking for a school that has high academics along with a great golf program. I want to continue to improve as a player in college and I am looking for a school that desires to not only perform well but also helps their players become better golfers.
