I can not say that playing golf has been my life long dream because it has not, by any means. I grew up surrounded by family members that played golf, and a father that constantly pushed me to try it out. I had been dancing since the age of seven and had no desire to really give it up. Although I had dabbled in PGA Jr. Leagues and golf lessons every now and then, I did not want to quit dancing to play. One of my friends from my jr. league finally convinced me to try out for the golf team my eight grade year, and I had no intentions or desire to so. I made the team and quite honestly played some of the worst golf of my life, but I could feel myself actually enjoy it. I made the big decision to quite dancing for golf, and that has led up to be the best decision of my life. I have been able to devote hours of time to the game, and go from someone who shot in the 120's my eighth grade year, to shooting in the seventies by my sophmore year. I have found a love for a sport I once hated, and although golf can be extremely frustrating at times, It would be amazing to play another four years at the collegiate level!
