HI Coach,
I was born with a partially cleft palate and had my first surgery within hours of being born. The lesson to work for everything I have, even the air that I breathe started early for me. Being small is part of who I am, that is o.k., I can still play with the big girls.
Growing up on a dairy farm strengthened my work ethic. Milking cows is a twice a day, every day job, I know what work is. Putting time in on studies is something I know how to do. I am not the best student , extra help with academics is a team aspect I look forward to in college.
Golf is my passion, I love to play and to play well. My high school is pretty small, finding team members was hard to do. My team experience is thru Missouri Golf Association, playing on their Southern States Cup and Girls 4 State team for two years each. These events come a lot closer to what I will see in college, don't worry about me running into a 6300 yard course. My driver will carry the trouble and my short game will get me thru.
Speaking of college, I have no idea what I want to study. Maybe something in the business of golf? Mom and dad say I will find my way. Paying for college is a concern earning a scholarship is a priority. I know that I want to go somewhere warm and that I have an opportunity to earn a spot on the team.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sam
