Personal Statement
When Millard West High School girls golf got runner-up at districts, it was the highlight of my golf career. Our goal for the year was to make it to the Nebraska State Championship as a team, and we did just that. Although we didn't preform to the best of our abilities and ended up finishing 8th as a team, it pushed me as an individual to become stronger and more consistent as a student athlete. As we move on into the 2017 golf year high school golf season, I constantly push myself to become more valuable as a player and bring everything I have to give, to help my team. I am always looking for ways I can grow in mentality, athleticism, and most importantly being a good teammate.
This is my third year of playing golf and I am very passionate about the sport. I began playing because I saw that many of my family members played golf and enjoyed it. I decided to try it out and ended up loving the sport. I'm excited to commit to a college or university that has a strong academic program and a successful women's golf team. Sports has been a major part of my life. I have been on a team of some sort since I was 3 years old. I am hardworking and coach-able which helps me grow in several ways. My goal is to always give 110 percent which will guide me to reaching my highest potential. As a determined three-sport athlete, I know I have what it takes to be a leader and impactful member on your team.
