Liz Elam '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Liz Elam and I have played golf with my dad since I could walk. My passion for the game grew from leisure golf to competitive golf in 8th grade when I joined the Texico High School golf team. I have tremendously lowered my score over the past three years and I know there is still more room for improvement. What makes me different from other golfers is my grit mindset. In every tournament I compete in, I go in with a positive and open mindset. I block out the stuff I cannot control, and focus on the current shot I can control. Golf is a 90% mental sport, and by having a positive mindset with grit supporting it, it paves the way for me to have a great round.
