Tyla McAffity '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello,  my name is Tyla McAffity. Golf is something that is very important to me. I have been playing golf for 9 years and I have loved it since the beginning. Golf for me is something other than just a sport. It holds a special place in my heart and it has helped me deal with so much. I believe that I am good candidate for your team because I am a dedicated golfer who knows how to be apart of a team.  I am a good person and a good player who is respectful, friendly and kind.  Academically speaking, I feel like I stand out from other recruits because not only am I a student athlete, I am a dedicated student in a classroom setting.  School has always been just, or even more, important that golf. My coach always tells me that you are a student athlete and not an athletic student. This holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me that I always have to put my academics first.  I believe that I would be a great asset to a team because not only am I a good player but I am also a leader and a friend!
