Personal Statement

I am a 5'7" Senior Women's Golf Team Captain at Salisbury High School in Salisbury, NC. Our school has a tradition of winning, as we have won the State 1-2-3A championship and have placed in the top 6 during my attendance (undefeated in regular season play). My introduction to golf was the first practice of my freshman year, and I have started all 4 years. I currently rank 3rd in my class with a GPA of 4.79. My SAT score is 2130 and my ACT score is 29. I realize that I have started this recruiting process late as I have focused on my academics and volunteer activities. This past summer, I focused on setting up and running a golf camp for at risk kids. I am looking across all divisions for schools with a tradition of outstanding academics. I do not have a geographical preference. I am looking for a program where I can apply my work ethic towards academics and golf and succeed at both! In 4 short years, I have gone from golf scores in the 140's to the 80's and look forward to working hard and getting better for my new team.
