My name is Mary Sears Brown and I am currently a senior at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, NC. At the age of twelve I started tagging along with my dad at the range. Over time my love for the game grew and I started to really appreciate the sport. Today, I am committed to pursuing golf at the collegiate level.
As a freshman, I played for my high school team and had a lot of fun, but I did not play competitively after the season ended. My sophomore year I qualified for the state championship which boosted my confidence and motivated me to become a competitive player. After the high school season ended, I made the decision to work really hard to become the best player I could be. The amount of progress I have made in less than a years time is truly amazing! In March of 2019 I tied for first place in a PKB national tournament and had my first tournament score in the 70s (74).
I continue to work hard every day and I am extremely dedicated to golf. Currently, I am working on the physical, mental and technical aspects of the game in order to continue to improve. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and can’t wait to be in touch soon!
