Olivia Welch '25 Recruiting Profile

I'm Olivia Welch and I'm from Bowman County ND. Golf has been important to me ever since I was little. I originally fell in love with the sport when I went out with my dad and his friends when they played their 'money game' every Sunday. I was probably eight years old at the time. I'd occasionally tee off but mostly just drove the cart, wrote down scores and downed Shirley temples like a champ. My eighth grade year was my first year playing golf competitively. Lucky for me my dad was head coach at the time. I have been slowly tweaking my swing with the help from my dad and been playing my #1 spot on our varsity team since my freshman year individually state qualifying each year. My lifelong dream is beauty school but golf is so important to me that ive recently started considering the opportunities that state college would open up. Even if i just got my associates degree in business to give myself a head start for my future.
