Golf is something I have centered my life around since I began playing at the age of five. Golf provides so much for me on and off the course. The passion dedication, discipline, and skills it takes to play golf are all what appealed to me even at a young age. I have dedicated myself to the game of golf by striving to be the best player I can be through practice with various coaches and taking the time to practice on my own home course multiple times throughout the week. While golf is important to me, academic success is critical for me to obtain the goals I have. These goals include me being an asset to our society in a way I feel will help those in my community and around me! I strive to be the best student I can be knowing that education is very important and the primary reason I am dedicated not only to my personal studies, but the game of golf.
As a young golfer, I played in tournaments for the US Kids Golf Tour. At the ages of 10 and 11, I placed in the top 5 for the US Kids Golf Tour. I took first place qualifier in the regional drive, chip, and putt. In the US kids tournaments I have placed multiple times and received two medals for first place overall in the Southwest Tour. I have also placed in the PGA Jr. Golf Tour as well as came in first place at the North Coast Junior Tour of 2020 at Pine Ridge Golf Couse.
I am currently playing in the Northern Ohio Junior PGA. In the past two years I have been in the top ten, ten times for the Ohio Northern PGA. At Avon High school I am on the Varsity Golf Team and lettered as a Freshman and Sophomore. Some of my accomplishments during my time at Avon High School include playing the number one spot on our Varsity team, making all-conference as a freshman and sophomore as well as coming in top ten at sectionals as a sophomore. My sophomore year I was named team MVP. While my team has made it to districts, we have also come in first place for conference and sectionals. During my time on the team has made it to districts, we have also come in first place for conferences and sectionals. During my time on the team, I made it to districts individually my sophomore year where I came in the top 40. At our conference preview, I placed second my sophomore year, came in top 5 at the Southwest Conference High School Championship, and top ten at The Magnificat Blue Streak Invitational. Aside from placing I am dedicated to helping at the course I play at with our Junior golf program. I feel it is important to start young and I believe I deliver a passionate positive experience for young junior golfers!
As a student, I hold myself to a high standard. I am a member of the National Honor Society and hold a current GPA of 3.94. My studies come first and I believe that playing golf has helped me navigate how to balance my time between being a dedicated student and a golfer. It is my goal to not only play at the college level where I think my skills can be perfected and I could achieve my full potential, but also obtain an education where I can succeed in pursuing a degree in Business Management and PGA Management. In my spare time I also work. I think this has helped me learn to effectively use my time to the best of my ability.
In closing, I am a very coachable individual who strives to reach all goals set by a team or personally whether that be for golf or academics. I am searching for a college where I can show my potential, compete and continue to grow as a student and athlete. I am eager to learn of the possibilities that are available and to have the opportunity to network in this community.
