Personal Statement
As a freshman who had only stepped foot on a golf course a few times prior to the season, I was placed on the varsity team and had to compete in the conference pre-season tournament. This experience forced me to deal with frustration and the fear of playing on the golf course. Playing golf has taught me to push myself and never quit no matter how hard the circumstances may be. At the pre-season tournament I shot 145, which was horrible, but gave me a reason to push myself to improve and continue working. My sophomore and junior year I have made 2nd team all conference, as well as being the top golfer on my school team. This wouldn't have happened if I stopped trying and working hard after my first tournament.
