Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Sandhya Vaikuntam and I am now senior at Marist Catholic High School. I have played golf since I fell in love with it at 9 years old and have been taking lessons and improving my game ever since. Throughout the year I play tournaments through Oregon Golf Association and various qualifiers that provide me with the opportunity to make multiple friends through the game. I serve on the PGA/LPGA Gen Z Council for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality and volunteer as a Special Olympics coach to make golf enjoyable for all. Golf now influences every part of my life in the best ways; I am passionate about the game in every way and I work to show that through everything I do. Playing golf in college has been my dream ever since I started playing, I would love the opportunity to be apart of a team where I can contribute in every way.
