Personal Statement
I have always enjoyed the game of golf since I was a child. My love for the game started as a family activity and eventually became a passion. Golf has always been a big part of my life and I love playing it because I am able to meet so many fellow golfers from all over Oregon. Golf has also taught me incredible life lessons, such as perseverance and patience, values I can use on and off the golf course.
While golfing competitively, I have been able to thrive academically, maintaining a high GPA at a college prep high school, and taking honors classes. I have also balanced these while playing the violin in two orchestras and participating in leadership organizations in and outside of high school.
I believe that I am a very good team player, and can adapt and get along well with other golfers. I have always been an even-keeled individual when playing golf, although still having a competitive drive. While playing on a golf team, I have always had a team first mentality, being respectful to my teammates, opponents, and coaches. I am a very coachable individual and I perform well under pressure in tournaments and am mentally strong.
I hope to play golf at a collegiate level and challenge myself as I enter this new chapter in my life and take my game to the next level!
