Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Izabela Aigner and I am an incoming junior at Greensburg Central Catholic High School. I am a highly motivated and competitve student athlete; I have played two years of varsity golf. This season, my team had a very successful season as we won our conference for the seventh straight year. We were runner up at the PIAA State Championships this year, after being runners up last year also. Individually this year, I qualified for individual conference. At individual conference I shot an 83, placing fourth to excel to the PIAA Individual State Championships. At the State Championship, I also shot an 83, to tie for tenth.
My goals and aspirations are quite extensive, but I would like to start off by saying, That I am looking for a college that would best suit my career goals and my ability to enjoy my passion of golf. Since I have been in school, my parents have instilled in me, my academics come first . With that being said, I have been a member of the Junior National Honor Society in seventh and eighth grade and in ninth grade I was on the High Honor Roll and finished my sophomore year on Honor Roll. When it comes to golf , I started with Drive chip and putt at age 7 and I have been playing competitively on the Southwestern Junior Golf Tour since I was age nine. I was a competitive dancer for seven years, I have always had a competitive nature and was always up for improvement. At age 12 I had to make a decision to give up dance to pursue my passion of golf more competitively. Since then, I have achieved first place status and in 2020 I became female player of the year. In 2020 , I also started my high school girls golf career at Greensburg Central Catholic. Out of a 10 girl team I was able to achieve number three varsity roster status after extensive tryouts as a freshman. Heading into my junior year, I have earned the number one roster spot and the honor of team captain.
