Olivia Patrow '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing golf for about three and half years. In that time I have gone from scoring in the 100s to breaking 70. My goal is to become the best golfer I can be, and take my talent as far as I am able. I love golf because of the challenge.  I am determined, hardworking, and driven, and I believe these attributes will help me golf to my full potential. I practice about four to six hours a day, six days a week, as I believe that practice is the key to excellence. Golf is much more than a sport to me, because it creates character and discipline. This past season I was the number one golfer and team captain for my school team. This helped me improve my leadership skills greatly.

I have competed in four school seasons, and for one full tournament season.  This year I placed 2nd with scores of 80 and 77 at the Northeast Regional Invitational at Bethpage. I also won the Pennsylvania District XI Chamionship at Lehigh Country Club with a score of 72.  Another highlight from this school season was placing top 10 in the PIAA State Championship.  This school season I was the medalist in 7 out of 10 matches and got second twice.

While practicing golf many hours a day I have been able to maintain a 3.9 GPA and be a memeber of the National Honors Society. This has taught me discipline and responsibility.
