Taylor Urban '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Urban, I will be entering my junior year at North East High School in Pennsylvania. I will graduate in 2021. My current GPA through end of sophomore year is a 3.57

I am on the Golf Team for North East High School. My freshman year I was the number one girl on the North East Girls golf team. My sophomore year I made the 6^th man on the North East Boys golf team. I was also the 6^th man/alternate on the Winning State AA Boys Golf Team. I went down to States as the alternate player, I did practice rounds with the team, unfortunately I did not participate by playing but I did by rooting for my teammates.

I am a member at Lawrence Park Golf Club in Erie Pennsylvania. I currently shooting in the 90’s, I have been improving 10 strokes each year. 2 years ago I was shooting in the 110 range, last year at the beginning of the year I was shooting in the lower 100’s, and by the end of the year I was shooting in the 90’s. For Districts for Girls Golf my sophomore year I shot 93 and 94.

I will be participating in the Great Lakes Junior Tour tournaments, along with the EDWGA (Erie District Women’s Golf Association) tournaments this year.

My goal is to shoot in the 80’s by the end of this year, and then in 70’s by end of my senior year. I am very highly motivated.

My family is very golf orientated. My mother, Stephanie Urban, has won 2 EDWGA Match Play titles along with 2 EDWGA Stroke Play titles. All of my grandparents also play golf very well. This summer I will be playing 4-5 times per week with them, along with all of the tournaments that I will be entering.

For my academic future, I want to be an Anesthesiologist. I am looking for a school that offers both of my goals. To play golf for an amazing team and to earn my degree.
