Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Mackenzie Autry and I am a senior at Northwest High School in Clarksville, TN (Class of 2023). I have played golf for over 12 years and I love the challenges and rewards that I experience while on the course. As a Freshman, I played every match as a varsity golfer and was named to the All-Area 2nd team, but fell short of my goals of winning the state championship. As a Sophomore, I secured the #1 spot on the varsity team and led our team to the Regional tournament as the District runner-up for the first time in 24 years. During my season as a junior, my team placed 2nd in both our district and regional competitions. I was able to advance to the state tournament where I placed 27th. I am continuously working hard to improve myself and my teammates with the desire to claim the Tennessee State Championship this year. I recorded a 2021 high school season average for 9 holes at 39 and an 79 on 18 holes. So far into the 2022 season my average has dropped to a 9 hole- 36 and 18 hole-71 score.
Outside of Golf, I am always finding ways to be active in my community. I am the President of my school's FFA chapter along with the President of FCA. I enjoy Hunting and being outside with my family.
