Hi my name is Nía Knights and I am currently a senior at Rick Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas. I have been playing golf since I was 10 years old and I would love to continue my golf career by participating in college golf because playing golf has taught me important morals that can be applied both on and off the course. I would like to major in international relations and become a lawyer to make a difference in the world. I would love to attend a college that's in the city and would like to study abroad. This is my 4th year on varsity and I have been team captain for 3 years. Sophomore year I had a huge accomplishment making my 2nd career hole-in-one, shooting a 78, at our schools annual pink out tournament that raises breast cancer awareness. This hole-in-one has donated $2,500 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Not only have I excelled in golf but also in academics. I have a 3.5+ GPA, in NHS, vice president of BSA (Black Student Alliance), and was invited by my school's art program to travel to Europe. Once again, playing college golf is an ambition of mine that I wish to attain, and I hope this statement provides a small insight of who I am as both a person and a golfer and I look forward to speaking to you in the future!
