Kylee Rutledge '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kylee Rutledge. I am a senior at Lampasas High School, graduating Class of 2022. If you’re wondering where Lampasas is, it is a small town about an hour north of Austin, TX. Although I grew up in a small town, my goals have always been two times bigger. I have been playing golf on and off since the 7th grade.  My freshman year I was a part of the drill team. During that time, I realized I never gave myself enough time out of the course playing because being on the drill team interacted with my practice. Seeing that, I decided that the drill team wasn’t for me and I wanted to focus more on my golf game.

Starting my Sophomore year,  I decided to take golf more seriously and focus on the course work. My parents got me a Swing Coach, Mrs. Janet Gaddy, starting my Sophomore year.  Along with her and my High School Coach Mr. Justin Schulze they have helped to transform me into the player that I am today.  I made Varsity starting my Junior year and was so excited to finally be a big part of the team and wanted to prove that I deserved my spot. In 2021 we placed first in district, moved onto regionals and finished with 3rd place 4A Division 1 for the State of Texas.

My goal is to find the school that best fits me, both academically and athletically. I am beyond thankful for the amazing support system my family and friends have given me. My parents have played a huge role in my life by being by my side throughout the whole thing. I could not be more grateful because they make sure I have everything I need to be successful in life. I believe that God has a plan for everyone and I can’t wait to see what plan he has for me.
