As the youngest of two siblings who played college golf, I’ve always known I wanted to play collegiate sports; whether it be soccer or golf, it was my goal. Before enduring an injury, playing 9 years of club soccer helped nurture my love for the aspects of competition, athleticism , and the desire to grow as a player through hard work and dedication. Since the 8th grade, I’ve been dedicating my time and efforts towards being a serious golfer. With a lot of hard worked hours and pushing myself against tougher competition, I’ve been able to mature as a player, student, and person. Since freshman year of 2017, I’ve endured approximately a 10 stroke improvement every year, and the summer of 2019, I achieved my current PR of 74, and since then I’ve averaged between 76-81 consistently. With the courage and mentality of shooting even lower my senior year, in hopes to advance individually to state. However, despite my passion for golf, my academics remain a major priority, I plan to major in business management and maybe also English. As I proceed looking at colleges, I hope for recruiters to see me as someone who brings a sense of dedication and creativity to all aspects of their college, while knowing I gain support and guidance in return.
