Hi, my name is Sydney McConnell and I'm 16 years old and am a sophomore graduating in 2020. I've been playing golf since I was about 7 years old. I didn't fall in love with the game until I was about 12 years old when my dad said that if I wanted to be great, I had to start working for it. Ever since then, I've been fully committed to pursuing golf to the collegiate level.
I live in Tyler, Texas and I play in the NTPGA and TJGT, both in the "Girls 15-18" division. I tend to have a stronger mental game than most all others my age. I stay very positive on the golf course throughout my rounds, while still having the drive to excel and win.
During the 2016-2017 school year I was in the top 6% of my academic class. I have received multiple academic awards as well as the Ralph Spence Award. As an 8th grader, I took two high school courses, and maintained straight A's through the year.
I am very interested in playing college golf and will work at it until I get there. Please feel free to email me: [email protected], if you have information or questions regarding my golf, academics, or anything else you'd like to know.
