My name is Hannah White. I started golfing when I was about 3 years old, but I just did it to spend time with my dad. At Wilson I was finally able to join a ladies golf team. Last year I got really bit by the golf bug and I wanted to learn more and be a better golfer, so I started lessons. This year I have loved golfing and I enjoy taking lessons to improve my golf game.
As of right now, I would like to earn my Bachelor's Degree and possibly my Master's Degree in Education. I would like to become a teacher for middle school and high school to teach English, History, or Science. In Middle School and throughout High School, I have had many teachers that have cared about me, looked out for my best interest and educate me at the same time. I recognize that teachers can be amazing mentors for students and can help them grow in ways they could never imagine. I want to be the teacher that is always looking out for the best interest of the students and help them become outstanding adults who have goals and aspirations.
I think I would make a good candidate for any team because I always have a positive attitude and always continue encouraging my team regardless of a bad shot. In middle school, I was the Captain of my cheer team and we won 3rd in Jr. State 2 years in a row. I learned how to balance practicing daily at home, at team practice and whenever I got the chance plus kept my grades at a 4.00 GPA.
I am willing to put in the extra time to come in early, stay late and study any chance I get to keep my grades up. I also continue to find time for my golf lessons and extra practice outside of team practice even if it’s in the rain. I also balance learning choreography for Scintillation Show Choir, a competitive choir which takes place during 5th period. For the past 3 years, Wilson’s Show Choir has won 1st place and Gold Standing for competition. I really feel I could be a big asset for any team, help the team achieve our goals and continue to keep my grades at their highest.
