Hi, my name is Alexis Deavers and I am currently a junior at Edgerton High School in Edgerton Wisconsin. For the past three seasons, I have played on the Varsity Golf Team. Over those three years, I have improved my average by 20% after attending the IJGA summer camp in South Carolina. This current year has been the most successful for our team and myself. Our team won multiple events and I placed first individually during the Galena Invite. We won our conference for the first time in over 10 years, where I individually placed 7th. We took second in regionals, tied for second at sectionals, and lost in a playoff to go to state. Along with playing golf at the college level, I am also interested in being part of an excellent academic program. In the future, I wish to study Spanish and Immigration Law as I am very interested in the Spanish language as well as politics. I was introduced to Spanish in 4K, and enrolled in Spanish 1 for high school credit during my 8th grade year. As part of my rigorous academic schedule, I was placed into advanced English, took AP U.S. History as a sophomore, and continued to challenge myself with rigorous classes. Along with golf and my academic studies, I am a part of many extracurricular activities such as: Drama club, Spanish club, Student Council, Forensics, and charity work for my community. I look forward to my future and the potential of playing golf at the collegiate level while receiveing an excellent education.
