If it weren't for the pandemic, my Varsity high school hockey team, the Chicago Romans, would have won state!! Illinois chose not to have a state championship this year and our games were considered scrimmages, but we were either 1st or 2nd! I am a goalie for the Chicago Romans and Chicago Jets. The pandemic made it nearly impossible to get video footage. I'm an excellent student in the engineering program at Jones College Prep High School, which is currently ranked #57 in the nation. I am a natural leader who was chosen by my teachers to attend Envision, a national student leadership conference. I have a big heart and regularly volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. I also took the initiative to make things and sell them to raise $1000 for a school library in Uganda, and to raise money for Shut-outs for Seizures. I hope to help my college hockey team win and shape my future career in Engineering or Biotechnology.
