Sydney Sammut '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Sydney Sammut and I am a 17 year old goalie from Ontario, Canada. I started playing hockey when I was 5 with the Oakville Hornets, and made the jump to goalie when I was 7. I spent 2 years of my minor hockey career playing boys hockey, where I gained many skills and experiences that have shaped me into the person and goalie I am today. I have also been a starting goalie on my school's Varsity team, Appleby College Blue Dogs, since grade 9 and have won 3 league championships throughout my high school career. Outside of school, I play Junior hockey for the Brampton Jr Canadettes (OWHL U22 Elite). Off the ice, I have been heavily involved in soccer my whole life, making provincial finals 2 years in a row before eventually having to choose between my two sports. My goal is to continue my hockey career into college/university and make a strong impact at a place that will feel like a second home.
