Personal Statement
As the starting center for Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn, Maine, I am 5’6” and a right handed shot. I also participate on a AA travel team, Casco Bay, in which I typically play right wing. I have earned first-team all-state recognition since freshman year and am one of three girls in the state of Maine to score more than 100 career goals all time. My high school team won back to back state championships during our freshman and sophomore seasons and were in contention this year despite a depleted roster. At the end of this season, I have accumulated 215 total points. Additionally, I am a three sport varsity athlete and captain of the soccer team as well as an assistant captain for hockey.
I have a 4.25 GPA and I am an active member in National Honor Society. I also volunteer at MaineGeneral Medical Center in the Harold Alfond Cancer Center and PALS, a local no kill animal shelter. In my free time, I am either playing sports, volunteering, tutoring, or working at a local ice cream shop.
Ideally, I would like a college that will push me academically and athletically. I would like to study English literature and plan to pursue a career in medicine. Geographically, I would prefer the Northeast and hope to find an institution in that region. I would be open to participate in any collegiate level.
