Personal Statement
I have now been playing hockey for 9 years, it's what I love to do. I try to get on the ice as much as I can. I love to set goals for myself that are not always achievable. Outside of hockey, I am very interested in my schools' immersion program with children with learning and mental disabilities. I take peer monitoring and do a unified track team to help them acclimate and work into the high school with other students. Also working with the kids a feeling of being able to help someone and also make a difference in their life as not just a mentor or a peer but as a friend.

- ActivitiesI am a Unite mentor which at my school is a group of upperclassmen who take in freshman and work on a community to help them to get a feeling at their new school. I am also largely involved in relay for life, and for being on the committee and a captain of a team raising money every year for cancer research.
