Personal Statement
Growing up I have always been a very competative person especially while playing hockey. Every year I was the only girl on an all boys team; competeing against players who were bigger, stronger, and faster, but this only made me better. I was treated as one of the guys, the coaches never gave me a break. They pushed me just as hard as the boys, if not harder, and I have them to thank for the player I am today. I played coed hockey until I reached high school where I had to transfer to the girls hockey team. I made varsity my freshman year, now going into my junior year, I am the first ever junior to wear a letter on their jersey as assistant captain. On and off the ice I am always someone that my teammates come to as a mentor. Whether they need help with hockey, or if they need someone to talk to out of hockey. I also play field hockey in the fall and track and field in the spring; contributing as a three season varsity player as a sophmore. Academically, I have never been bellow honors, meaning I have never had a final grade bellow a B. I take my school work very seriously, making sure everything is handed in on time and in good shape. Out of my two full years of high school so far I have only missed one day of school. Thank you for taking your time to read this I promise you I am a good candidate for your team.
