Personal Statement
Hockey has been the center of my life ever since I was seven years old. I started my hockey career playing Reading Youth Hockey with the boys. A few years later, I switched to playing in my hometown’s girls program, and club hockey with the North Shore Vipers. My freshman year of high school, I was offered a position on the elite JWHL team, the Boston Shamrocks. I developed greatly as a player and teammate, being the Captain of such a highly competitive team. I was exposed to top-tier play and the rigorous lifestyle of being on the road every weekend. My sophomore year, I decided to leave the Shamrocks to focus on academics and other passions of mine like field hockey. I played on my high school girls hockey team as a Varsity starter. I am a strong, dedicated, and hard-working individual, and I believe these qualities and my experience playing in the JWHL will make a valuable team member.
