I have been playing ice hockey for about five years now, and my dream has always been to play in college. On each of my hockey, lacrosse, and field hockey teams, I try to lead by example. Because the goaltender sees the whole playing area, I am able to notice what is going on around me, and help players develop their skills. I am also capable of helping new players who are trying for a position at a higher level by highlighting not only their strengths, but their weaknesses, and trying to help them become the best player they are capable of being. In the classroom, I strive to achieve good grades and high honors. When I am not on the ice or the field, I am helping others and myself by studying hard and helping others study as well. I continue to do volunteer work every year and I enjoy doing it. I want to attend a college where I can help myself learn for my future yet also continue my hockey career.
