Going to State my Sophomore year was the highlight of my high school career. However, my Junior year was the year I grew, and learned the most about myself. This past year helped me realize that my strengths are blocking shots, and my speed. While continuing to strengthen my poke checking, and passing.
Over the past 11 years of playing in Farmington has made me learn about teamwork, and my commitment to hockey. My mom is a big influence in my hockey. She raised me to be strong, confident, and capable. She has taught me to go for what I want. Being the only girl on a boys team for two years was a challenge. I not only had to make them see me as a player but accept me as a teammate. Dealing with those dynamics has taught me confidence in my skill and my ability to work well with anyone. I believe I have the work ethic, character, and talent to play in the college level, and make a positive impact on the program.
