Lucianna Burke '21 Recruiting Profile

I started playing hockey when I was 12 years old and became a huge part of my life. I am driven with a will to succeed. I am dedicated to my sport and I truly love the game. 

From the seasons of 2016-2019, I played for Affton Lady Liberty. During those seasons, my save percentage was in the .850 to .912 range. In the season of 2019-2020 I switched clubs to the St. Louis Lady Cyclones to play under Coach Dave Hoke. Coach Hoke was my first coach, during my first year playing hockey. During that season I played around 75% of the games. We won 25, lost 19, and tied 3 of 47 games.

 I do as many hours as I can with private lessons with Luke Venker of 3E Goaltending. I have attended several goalie camps every year. I attend all the goalie clinics provided by my club. I tried  out and made the St. Louis Lady Cyclones 19u AA Elite team for the 2020-2021 season. At the first showcase of the 2020-2021 season, my coach has made me the assistant captain for my team because of my leadership abilities and dedication towards my team.

I work hard in everything I do and know I can continue to improve myself. I love helping younger goalies. I have helped develop younger girls, and boys for the past couple of years. I volunteer my time to go to their practices and work with them on movements and drills. I want to do my part to grow the sport. I volunteer with my club to learn to play sessions for new girls hockey players.

I am considering going into a biology program and becoming a veterinarian. I love helping animals, and caring for them. I would like to carry that over into my career.
