Personal Statement
Sports have been a passion of mine and a vital role in my life. The time spent outside of school playing sports and participating in other extracurricular activities has allowed me to mature in a way I didn’t realize was possible. I learned to be successful in the classroom and in all my sports. Time management was crucial to this success as I play year-round ice hockey, lacrosse, and field hockey along with a season of racquetball and curling. I have a will to compete with a relentless and driven attitude. This transcends into the classroom where I have a 4.1 GPA. My goal is to study to become an engineer while potentially focusing on becoming a prosthetist, biomedical engineer, food science engineer or development of a medical product. I am a leader in all that I do in the classroom and with my teams. I enjoy helping others succeed. Playing a sport at the collegiate level is a must for me as I have been playing multiple sports since I was five years old. My sports represent who I am and I cannot imagine one night without playing a sport.
