Personal Statement
My background in hockey has been mostly as a center for multiple years for the Cape Cod Storm Club program. At Falmouth High School as an 8th grader I centered the 3rd line and my coach moved me to left wing as a freshman where I was able to rush the ice and make plays. Finally at Proctor Academy as a reclassified sophomore, and with the Islanders Club Program I have circled back to playing defense. My background at all positions, I have found, has made me stronger as a defenseman and more versatile as a player.
- At 5’10” I’m a strong, physical, puck moving D and earned a spot on the Power Play and Penalty kill lines in my first season at Proctor. I played key minutes against opponent’s top lines.
- My skating ability is probably my top attribute as my Falmouth High coach, Brian Ferreira called me the best pure skater on the team as a freshman.
- I'm also a multi sport athlete who plays both field hockey and softball.
- Transferring to Proctor has also been a gift to me academically as well and I have thrived there with the addition of the learning skills I've been taught.
- Things for me to work on have been my shot from the point and the nuances of defense since I’m somewhat new to the position.
