Hockey has always been a huge part of my life. My love for the game started with playing on my outdoor rink in the winter with my three siblings and parents. I have many different dreams and goals in hockey and although some goals are small, like winning 50/50 battles, they are all important to me. My main goal going into this school year as a freshman, was to make the Nichols Prep hockey team. I achieved this goal but found it to be a challenging season. With many older, talented girls on the team I did not get as much playing time as I would have liked but I learned a lot about the game and about myself having to take on a role I was not used to. Another goal for this year was to win the state championship with my Amherst team, and we did. I put in so much hard work to achieve this goal and learned that hard work does pay off. My immediate goal is for our team to finish in the top half of the bracket in the national tournament later this month. My long-range goal is to play college hockey at a school where I can succeed. This will take hard work and determination on the ice, in the classroom and training off the ice. This is work I am prepared to do and look forward to.
I am an energetic kid eager to learn new things. I also play Soccer and Lacrosse and sing in the school choir. I have two older siblings and one younger and being one of the youngest in a large family has taught me humility, respect, love and how to compete. I am excited to see where this journey will take me and I'm confident I will make a college team better someday.
