Personal Statement
I have been playing ice hockey since I was a year and a half old. I played boys up until the peewee minor level and then the year after made the transition to girls hockey. I have been a part of the Syracuse Nationals girls teams for three years now. Each year I have been a part of the program we have succeeded to the National Tournament. I am a center on the ice and wear the jersey number 18. Outside of school I contribute to my community as much as I can during my available off time from my hockey schedule. I help at our local hockey association trying to help coach and encourage young kids for their love of the game. I also am a part of a club known as Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). I was inspired to join this club because of one of my family's close friends was struck and killed by a drunk driver. I have my Red Cross Lifeguarding certification in which I completed this course at my current high school. I also play Varsity soccer and hockey. I am a very caring and down to earth person that tries to help people in any way possible. My life long goal is to play Division 1 hockey while receiving education for physical therapy or a sports psychologist.
