About: 5'7" elite player, dedicated to being a student-athlete at the highest level: Defense, Mid Fairfield CT Stars 19-1 #10, Choate GVH #23. Email: [email protected]
I’ll make a pass rather than throwing it away. I’m not afraid to skate the puck. I have good hockey sense and I read the ice well. With quick feet and good edgework, I've always been a strong skater. I am on the Dean's list and have A’s and B+s. I also play lacrosse at Choate and participate in Peak Performance, an elite athlete training program.

NEUTRAL ZONE REVIEWS...
Neutral Zone, NE Prep Report Nov 2022-Jan 2023 -Alison Giebler #23 (Choate Rosemary Hall, D, 2024): Giebler has size that is paired with strong skating ability. She is pure hustle and very vocal to direct traffic and set-up defensive zone coverage. The defender plays a very heads-up game with her head on a swivel. She utilizes her size along the board, winning board battles with strength, positioning, and the ability to box out hard on players when checking through their hands. The ‘24 grad always has a stick-on-puck and uses her body well on opponents without taking penalties. Grade: B+
Alison Giebler #23 (Choate Rosemary Hall, D, 2024): Alison logged a ton of ice time playing a regular shift, was on the PP, and saw some PK action. Excellent size and skates very well. Led the line rush from her D spot several times throughout the game. End-to-end rushes several times showed confidence in her own skill and competitiveness without playing selfishly. Joined the play-up ice to gain the blueline to pressure Lawrence Academy in the O zone. Headmans the puck with hard, accurate passes and successfully made targeted cross-ice passes to forwards crisscrossing with ease. Heads up stick handler and can play at full tilt. Rotated well on PK to pick up open opponents with D partner during switch off. Played flawlessly during D zone coverage pressure and defended the goalie during blue paint scrums with her aggressiveness. Protects her goalie and Lawrence did crash the net and she showed a desire to play hard which is refreshing to see. Grade: B
Neutral Zone, NE Prep Report 2021 - Alison Giebler #23 (Choate Rosemary Hall, D, 2024): Giebler was notable because of her skating. She can make quick decisions and carries the play with speed. We look forward to tracking her development and watching the rest of her season. Grade: C
Neutral Zone, NAHA Labor Day 2021 - Alison Giebler #10 (Mid Fairfield Stars, D, 2024): Giebler is a highly mobile, athletic defenseman with a quick processor and even quicker feet. She has good size; she can handle the puck and has a high panic threshold in that she doesn’t force bad passes or rush plays; she waits the extra second for the lane to open and make the right play on the breakout. Defensively she manages her gaps well, makes smart reads, and can close quick and take pucks right off opponents' sticks. Her best play was a diving pass breakup on an odd-man rush where the goalie was down and likely saved a goal. She kept her head on a swivel, protected her net front, and was quick to corner to get her stick on pucks and keep opponents from the net front. Alison also showed she can handle the puck at speed, she can maneuver through the neutral zone in traffic areas, and has a hard shot from the outside. She was used in every situation showing her coaches' confidence in her and got a lot of ice time on the power play and at the end of games in key minutes. Grade: B+
Neutral Zone: Rochester Fire on Ice U14, November 15, 2019 - Alison Giebler #10 (Ironbound Elite U14, D, 2005): An offensive defender who isn’t afraid to pinch and pressure in the offensive zone. A smart, heads-up player when getting back on the backcheck, Giebler picks up trailing players. Uses self-reverse well in the defensive zone to escape pressure. Grade: B
