The highlight of my hockey career was the spring of 2018 when I went to the USA Hockey National Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts with Team North Dakota. It was the game to go to the quarter finals and it went to a shootout. I was next to shoot and if I scored it would secure the win. Sure enough I scored and we moved onto the quarter finals. After that goal it changed the whole way I played the game in a positive way.
I am a multi-sport athlete and a two-time captain. Hockey has opened doors to the real world for me. It has shown me that everything will not get handed to you easily, that I will need to work for anything I want. It has taught me leadership as I am the captain for my team leading them into each and every game or practice.
