I started playing hockey when I was five years old. Since then, I have played on multiple teams such as Fargo Freeze, Minnesota Northern Wings, Team North Dakota, Fargo North/South, and many more. My dad, who has been my coach since I was nine, has influenced me the most in my hockey career. He taught me how important it is to always put in 110% effort, never be afraid to fail, and always be a team player.
In 2016/1017 season (sophomore year), my team had a very good chance of winning the state tournament. My team went into the tournament second seed and we lost out first round. That moment was very significant in my hockey career because it helped me grow as a hockey player and I realized how important it is to never look past any team. I have learned how important it is to be an unselfish player. If you can't work as a team, you can win as a team and you will not reach your end goal.
I am looking for a college that will challenge my athletic and academic skills. As for my athletic skills, I can see the ice very well. I have strong passing skills and can control the puck. My shot is above average and I am a very unselfish player. I am a well rounded player capable of playing wing and center. As a center, I am very good at winning face-offs. I also am a player who is very coachable and can easily fix mistakes. Academically, I have had a 4.0 through my high school years. I am currently taking two AP classes. School and sports are very important to me and I do not settle for anything less than perfect which always keeps me working hard to try and reach my full potential. I believe I am a person who has the talent to compete at a college level and will impact your team significantly.
