I have a very strong desire to play hockey in college while earning a degree. I have a passion for hockey and it inspires me to push myself both physically and mentally. I am very competitive but enjoy working on a team and developing leadership skills. I am taking advanced science courses, enjoy working with people, and would like to pursue a degree in science or medical field.
I have been playing hockey since I was 6. I was the only girl at my age level playing on the boys' teams. I played on the select team at Mites. Squirt through Bantam I played 1st line defense on the A travel team. My team won our league 4 years in a row and my Bantam team had a 23-1-3 season. I will by playing with the AAA Ohio Blue Jackets U19 team for the 2015-2016 season.
In addition to playing, I coach an all age girl’s development team and a mite/mini-mite team. I really enjoy working with new players and watching them develop confidence, skills, and a love for the game!
I have also played soccer since I was 3. Beginning at the U8 level, I was on a highly competitive travel team. I received a varsity letter my freshman year and continue to play mainly as the goal keeper. My sophomore year I threw shot and disc for our track team.
