Personal Statement
Since the age of 12 I have played in the Ontario Canada Lower Lakes Female Hockey League (LLFHL) at the AA level (equivalent to USA AAA level). At the age of 13 in my major Peewee year I was offered a chance to play for a new LLFHL handpicked elite team, the Vaughan Flames. I helped the team to achieve a number 1 Canadian ranking on “myhockeyrankings.com” that year at Tier 1. I played with a great group of teammates for three seasons and we won several tournaments and league championships. The highlights being Ontario Provincial Champions in 2013, and LLFHL playoff champions in 2015. The Vaughan flames disbanded at the end of the 2014/2015 season and I joined the Whitby Wolves Midget AA team. In early December of 2015 I was already offered a position on the Whitby Wolves Jr Intermediate AA team for the 2016/2017 season.
I also play multiple sports including soccer at the highest levels. I also play high school Rugby and I was the captain of my high school Rugby 7’s team this past season. I helped the team win the high school championship (LOSSA) this past year. I believe playing multiple sports helps me develop to be a better all-around athlete in any sport I participate in. Being involved in sport has taught me the value of time management, teamwork, friendship, and leadership. I also believe that academics are an important aspect of my athletic career. I am looking for a solid university or college program to help me achieve both academically and athletically. I strongly believe that my skills and work ethic will make an impact in any hockey and academic program at the university or college level.
